Typically, the sounds you hear on construction sites around town come from the workers, engineers, and technicians supervising them, along with the “umarells” who watch from the sidelines. At Orange, we have introduced an additional voice: that of the construction site itself. This voice tells its story, engaging and informing citizens who are interested in the work being done. We are dedicated to making construction sites communicate effectively, and it has become our specialty. From websites and information points to signage, podcasts, and magazines, we have something for everyone and every need.
BOBO, which stands for Bologna (the city of Bologna), tells the story of a road narrated by the tools that built it. The narrative includes the opinions of Grufus and Pompea, the ramblings of eccentric mortar, conflicts between paving stones, and the trajectories of string. It also features the philosophy of a thug and the patience of a container. These diverse voices reflect BOBO, the largest post-war construction site that transformed the historic center of the city.
This story is about the city of Bologna and the changes it is undergoing. We have documented these changes directly through the construction sites associated with the Bologna Domani project. Panel by panel, we highlight the development of education, sports, and culture in a city that is evolving to enhance the lives of its residents. This narrative tells the story of transformation, making it accessible and inspiring for those who experience it every day.
Perugia is developing a Metrobus, a new mode of transportation for the city. It will be widely recognized because it combines aspects of both a metro and a bus. The Metrobus is convenient, fast, and has very short waiting times. To promote this project, a logo was needed along with an engaging brand image to effectively communicate the initiative to the entire city. Task accomplished!
